About Katherine Salassi

I am a visual artist who creates original pen and ink drawings and then transforms them into variations by the addition of color applications. Inherent in my work is the concept of infinite possibilities depicted by color and form. I enjoy combining the intricacy of traditional pen and ink drawing with color in order to create more varied and vibrant work. A large part of my inspiration comes from a love of animals, nature, and spiritual influences.

My background in art began with photography and progressed to pen and ink while studying at the University of New Orleans. Originally from Louisiana, I now reside in Sonoma County, California.
